Visual Effects
VFX is the integration of live-action plates or CGI elements to create realistic artistic imagery. We use Autodesk Flame at Eldon vfx, a powerful finishing and visual effects solution, to deliver pixel perfect finishing of commercials, TV episodes and films. We can enhance any project with its robust integrated finishing toolset and build complex 3D scenes with its intuitive node based compositing system.
Compositing
Grading
Colour has always been a passion of mine. I love colour correction and grading. I taught myself Autodesk Lustre before progressing to DaVinci Resolve, adding a grading panel to the studio as a companion to my Flame work. Many projects will feature both Flame and colour work as I pool all my skills and loves into each brief. This still was for ITV and This Morning, graded entirely in my studio. I was the DIT for this project running all the camera data, colour workflow, transcodes, final grade and delivery.
Digital Retouching
Beauty and skin work is a speciality of mine and a discipline that I have perfected and really enjoy. The same skillset applies to product and pack shot clean up to make sure the assets can look the very best they can be. Lots of my experience has been on skin and hair work for make up brands, which is really rewarding. This frame is an example of complex clean up requests for L’Oreal Paris.
Adaptation & Versioning
Eldon vfx can use a single global master to create new language versions, new custom aspect ratios for social media platforms or frame rate derivatives for any local market around the world. All audio can be re voiced, re mixed and re mastered for any market. All quality control, mastering and delivery can be completed and exported at Eldon vfx. This frame illustrates a pack replacement for an alternative market. We recently completed a huge adaptation project for a pharmaceutical agency with global reach and many video assets.
Shoot Supervision
Supervision is available should the brief and client require it. I have a lot of experience of 2D shoots, advising and making sure all the assets are obtained in advance of the post production. This could be supervising elements for pack shots and products, advising on green screen, set extensions, rig work and clean up or advising on tracking and marker placement. Flame or Resolve can be on set for tests and real time composites. Additional vfx supervision support can be drafted in for 3D and CGI heavy briefs.
