Why choose me?
I have been working in Post Production my entire career, initially as an offline commercials editor before progressing to Quantel Henry, the worlds first multilayer compositing system. I then headed a facility wide move to a fully Autodesk workflow in 2000, specialising on Smoke and Flame finishing and visual effects suites ever since. I love working on the Flame, solving problems, collaborating with creatives and enhancing every project.
Core skills
I am a specialist and highly experienced Flame artist with a keen eye for detail, am a strong team player and retain a real passion for the product. I have an excellent understanding of workflows, pipelines, best practice and disciplines having worked in numerous facilities both here and abroad. I have collaborated with many artists and have a decent working knowledge of many applications including DaVinci Resolve, Premier, Mocha Pro, Encoder, Photoshop and Neat Video. I am a keen mentor and trainer most recently contributing to the government’s VFX framework consultation for future skills training. I also completed an ACES course at the National Film and Television School to complement my knowledge of colour in post production.
Let’s Collaborate
We can engage in a number of ways. I can work remotely via remote desktop software on supplied Flames and infrastructure to integrate seamlessly with existing workflows and pipelines. Alternatively I can work onsite if agreed in advance. I am comfortable running projects and working closely with clients. Or place an entire project with me at my studio where I have the latest Flame 2024 complete with a full Boris FX suite of plug ins, Neat video, business fibre broadband, DaVinci Resolve with grading panel and EIZO monitoring. I have posted on here work examples featuring projects completed both remotely and from my studio. Call me.
