  • ‘Student Dad’ Travelodge 30sec TVC

    I was lead flame on these two films running every aspect of the project from outsourcing roto and clean up, managing colour workflow, conform and finish to completing all the visual effects. The team were excellent, as were the clients throughout. Really enjoyed these, which got ad of the week too.

  • ‘Don’t Mind’ Subway Series

    I was brought in to assist a compositing team with beauty work on this series of films for Subway. Many cutdowns were created with studies of the sandwiches which needed extensive beauty and retouching work. As a remote freelance flame artist I was able to contribute a large number of shots to this project from my study inn Berkshire running the new Apple Studio M2 Ultra hardware.

  • ‘Be There’ Samsung Olympics Global 60sec TVC

    As a remote freelance flame artist I can be anywhere. It was fantastic to collaborate with MPC New York on this film for Samsung. Amazing team and a great experience. I was part of a large and extremely talented compositing team and contributed to the skate and boating scenes. Working remotely from my studio in Berkshire I was able to dial in to the flames on Broadway and be a part of this awesome campaign.

  • Wimbledon Museum ‘Rivalries’ projection

    Working with We Love Images I completed two sequences for the new wing at Wimbledon Tennis Museum featuring rivalries over the years. This was a large scale projection with immersive sound design by Dave Poole. Completed on flame, working closely with the creatives, we designed a framework to tell the story of famous competing players and their battles over the years at Wimbledon. All work was completed in my remote flame suite providing creative flame services to design agencies and production companies worldwide.

    Wimbledon Museum ‘Player Quotes’ Rivalries

    This was a large format sequence for the Wimbledon Museum visitor experience. Working remotely from my flame suite I graded archive and animated a series of quotes from famous players describing their rivalries with other players.

  • ‘Barbie Teaser 3’ Super Bowl. Rocket Homes and Rocket Mortgages.

    Busy time around the Superbowl so finally got time to share these films completed at the Mill. I contributed to a series of films that supported the TVCs. I worked as a freelance flame artist to complete beauty tasks, add graphics, social reformatting and delivery. The whole campaign was awesome and a lot of fun to work on.

  • ‘Walgreens – Holiday Essentials’

    I was drafted in to the team again as a freelance flame artist to work on another seasonal Walgreens campaign. These spots included extensive product beauty work, screen composites, and working closely with a digital matte painter, a number of composites to integrate large festive backgrounds.

    And If Not Now, When? immersive film installation

    And If Not Now is art collective Philip Pinsky and Karen Lamond is an interactive sound and film installation for COP26 at National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh. The installation takes the form of heightened audio-visual representations, using sound, film and animation. It is a visceral experience, aiming to unlock and disturb received wisdom through aurally striking, visually arresting, humorous and seductive interrogations. Critically, the space is reactive to the audience, empowering us to change the environments we inhabit.

  • ‘Walgreens’ Alice 15sec 16×9 TVC

    Working remotely from my studio I collaborated with The Mill on a fantastic set of xmas spots for Walgreens. This was a well exectuted conform and clean up exercise featuring multiple social versions. It was fun and productive collaborating with the team in the US, combining matte painting and after effects with complex flame clean up and comp work for great results. A memorable campaign with a great creative team there.

  • ‘Reese’s Extreme Blizzard’ Dairy Queen 30 sec US TVC

    Working remotely as a freelance flame artist I dialled into The Mill Chicago studio to help out on this series of spots for Dairy Queen. This was mostly completed in Nuke, working with an animation team at the London Studio, but I ran the films, versioned for multiple social formats, worked closely with the agency on the live action product sequences and graphics, then delivered. A good example of a remote collaborative pipeline. A really cool team and fun films too.

  • ‘Foot Asylum’ 30sec online

    Working from my studio in Berkshire as a remote freelance flame artist I worked on this festive film for Chief in Manchester. I took on the complex and difficult end frame composite comprising of multiple green screen passes. I enjoyed this one. Having my own flame licence with full engineering support provides clients with a great option for visual effects work that needs outsourcing.

  • ‘Private Cabin’ VRBO TV commercial

    I worked as a flame freelancer within the facility at Saatchi completing all the online work for this nice campaign for VRBO. Working alongside edit and grade, with the wonderful team there, I worked through lots of beauty work and clean up requests.

  • ‘Private Beach Getaway’ VRBO TV commercial

    Another VRBO spot from the same campaign featuring lots of beauty work and clean up throughout. The opening shot needed a building site removed, lights turned on in windows, the garden landscaped and the sky replaced, among other things. Working with ungraded camera raw source files, I worked with the colourist closely to turn this around and get the campaign to air. A great team, always a pleasure to be brought in onsite as a freelance flame artist.

  • ‘Huawei Mate’ adaptation work

    As a flame freelancer I was brought in to work with the excellent team at The Mill, tasked with delivering versions of this film globally. With Flame being an awesome suite for adaptation and versioning, I was able to deliver hundreds of versions to many markets all over the world for both TV and social. I have a lot of experience running a huge job like this with multiple frame rates, multiple graphic changes, multiple audio laybacks and picture formats.

    Sweet little campaign for Costa showing baristas in their element. As a freelance flame artist I worked through a host of clean up requests, beauty work and graphics. Hard to have missed this one online, as it received close to a million views.

    As a freelance flame artist based in London Soho I was asked to contribute multiple shots to this brilliant Netflix show ‘End of the F**king World’. Extensive clean up, screen comps and VFX shots were composited whilst working with a brilliant and talented team at Jam.

  • ‘Be More Than’ Korn Ferry 60sec TVC

    I was VFX shoot supervisor and freelance flame artist on this huge spot for Korn Ferry. Tasks on the shoot day included sourcing all assets and plates for the scenes featuring CG pancakes. As well as making sure these scenes were covered there were additional recommendations on the shoot day for 2D tasks in flame. I was then lead artist for CCVFX working closely with the director to finesse multiple clean up shots, transitions and screen comps.

  • ‘Bulmers 100% Irish Cider’

    60 second and 30 second spots were finished on Flame at Smoke and Mirrors for the wonderfully brilliant Lucky Generals. It rolled out on St Patrick’s Day across TV, social and digital. There was product beauty work and of course the motion graphic treatment. I always enjoy working with The Lads.

    Working with two great Nuke Artists we combined on sky replacements, CGI compositing, clean up and beauty work. Two particular shots were particularly fun to work on in Flame; stopping it rain in shot two and combining multiple live action plates for the beach bar wide. Quality series of films for Corona. Loved it.

    Another in the series for Manchester City completed at Nice Biscuits. As a remote freelance flame artist with kit and licence I ran all the films, completed all the beauty and clean up work, and mastered all the films.     Here is another Moto X spot featuring the very funny TJ Miller. This involved clean up, product beauty work, screen replacement and graphics. Each campaign needed to be versioned for multiple end frame tags.

  • ‘Royal Caribbean’ Rise the Vacation 30sec TVC

    As a remote freelance flame artist I can be anywhere. It was fantastic to collaborate with MPC New York on this series of films for Royal Caribbean. Amazing team and a great experience. I completed many clean up tasks throughout, particularly on the ice tunnel and glacier scenes. Other composites featured across many other films included clean up on hot air balloons, adding more rafts to rides and beauty work across the park rollercoasters. Sky replacements were completed and some complex wire removal on a frantic water ride.

  • ‘MTV’

    I loved this series of ‘Brand Showcase’ films for MTV UK showcasing a number of contemporary artists. It touched on many disciplines within the Flame Premium. Paul and I designed the whole series and it was all composited in Flame. Initially I spent some time in Lustre grading the two ‘looks’. Additional scenery and interest was then composited in the black and white scenes. Extensive beauty work across all the talent followed. Large amounts of rotoscoping and keying was needed to extract talent and place them in the desired sets, complete with carefully selected and designed back plates drawing on inspiration and lyrics from the artists.

  • ‘Maps’

    TV sponsorship ident for the Nokia Lumia phone range showcasing the maps and GPS element. I assembled all the supplied CGI and packaged these on Smoke taking care of all graphics, visual effects and versioning.

    ‘Ferrari World’

    Working closely with the creatives from storyboard stage I managed and completed the Post Production for a number of films for Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi. During the early stages of the production I was able to advise and supervise key elements for visual effects. Initially as a Producer I co-ordinated all the offline, telecine and managed all the data and selects for Post Production. I then ran the Post Production across numerous Smoke, Flame AE and Maya suites, completing all the Flame work myself. From concept through to final delivery I was able to lead the Post Production for these modules. These frames are from approval Stages and rehearsals.

  • ‘Ferrari Finale’

    This amazing component of the Ferrari world installation was a massive 25 foot wide projected film of the moment the super car leaves the production arena and exits onto the race track at Maranello. The viewer is transported alongside the car, the scale and sound design consuming the visitor. This was shot on Vistavision for optimum width. There was extensive beauty work, clean up as well as the compositing of the workers and managers in the opening few seconds.

  • ‘Shadows’

    This lovely installation piece was one element of a fantastic visitor experience at Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi. This film was projected onto large screens using HD projectors whilst the viewer was transported through the exhibit. The glass screens were offset in the space to create depth. Beautiful.

    ‘Body Assembly’

    As part of the series of films for the Ferrari museum this illustrated the assembly process of the car projected on the dome on the roof of the vast museum in Abu Dhabi. It was very complex and had to be adapted to work in the curvature of the dome. Here are a few visual effects stills that touch on some of the compositing that I completed.

    Simple product and price campaign put together in Smoke for retailer Ethel Austin. I am very experienced with retail. This required graphics, grade and some effects throughout the CCTV scene.

    Combining my two loves of flame and stop frame these films were lovely to work on. As a freelance flame artist working remotely in my studio I composited layers of green screen and separate elements to create a great series of films for Greenies. There was lots of clean up, set shifts and rigs to remove. All good fun.
